We bring personalized help to people in Crisis
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is spearheading a nationwide movement to prevent homelessness. In cities across the United States, St. Vincent de Paul Councils and Conferences bring help and hope to the unhoused in our communities through rental and utility assistance, food pantries, charitable pharmacies, day centers, transitional housing for disabled and veteran persons, and more.
Vincentian Visits
Vincentian volunteers go in pairs of two to visit individuals and families in their homes or in our office that have called seeking assistance. During this visit, the Vincentian volunteers develop a real friendship with those individuals, listen to their concerns, and offer to pray together. Encountering our fellow human being can be transformative, and this practice of visiting those in need has been part of the Society since its inception.
A Network of friends, inspired by Gospel values,
growing in holiness and building a more just world through
personal relationships with and service to people in need.
Vincentians serve more than 5 million people annually in rural, suburban, and urban communities across the United States. The national Council provides our Vincentian members with financial support, best practices, training, and spiritual formation as they assist our most vulnerable neighbors.
